Mountain Madness Tours goes to Ironman Canada 2010

Written by Ben Johnson

August 2010

Mountain Madness Tours set off to Penticton for the 2010 Iron Man Canada event and took a few bikes along for the ride.

Five fantastic Edmonton triathletes braved the interesting weather conditions which started off perfect and sunny for the 4 km swim and turned to cold and rainy at the top of the mountains during the 180 km bike ride. They battled on into the night with the cut of time being at midnight which is always a spectacular sight to see as ordinary people complete an extraordinary event and become Iron Men and Iron Women.

Mountain Madness Tours took a trailer load of fancy triathlon bikes to the event as due to the long distance from Edmonton to Penticton most decided to fly instead of drive. Transporting your expensive bike on an aeroplane can be an expensive, time consuming and nerve racking experience as you never know what condition your bike might be in at the other end or even if it will arrive the same time as you do.

We can take the hassle and drama away from your next triathlon or sporting event. Instead of disassembling your finely tuned machine and stuffing it into a box and hoping it goes back together the same way you like it, Why not simply take the front wheel off and hand it to us and we'll deliver your pride and joy to your hotel at your chosen destination.

Keep an eye on our website for more information about next year's Iron Man event or contact us today to book in for 2011.

We have 9 seats available in our comfy van so if you don't want to fly or drive, join your bike for the ride and let me look after all the driving for you.

Train hard champions, summer will be back again soon enough.
