Love Wine but worried about how long it takes to get to beautiful Penticton BC and struggling to find a designated driver who is willing to go without wine on a wine tour? Good luck with that!!! Well Mountain Madness Tours has the solution for you and your friends. Let us look after the drive to and from Edmonton and you just relax in the back and get your taste buds ready for a flogging. There are nearly 100 exceptional wineries surrounding the city of Penticton with 45 of them a short drive or bike ride from the main town. Once in town we can drive you to as many wineries as you can handle (on a recent tour we managed 14 wineries in 2 relaxed days). You can then eat some amazing food at some spectacular restaurants in the area.
Another interesting option is to explore the wineries, by bike, on the numerous and picturesque bike trails. These trails connect many of the wineries close to town. We can carry all your bikes to and from Edmonton, and can follow your tour to pick up any wine purchases along the way.
There are numerous accommodation options available, with the most affordable option being the HI hostel. Click on the following link for more information:

A recommended itinerary could look something like this for a four-day tour.
Day 1: Depart Edmonton in the morning, sit back and enjoy the incredible scenery, as we drive though the middle of the Rocky Mountains, for most of the day. We later enter the Okanagan Valley, with its gentle rolling hills and numerous lakes, which follow the main road all the way to Penticton.
Day 2: After a restful sleep (and sleep in if you wish), we can start visiting the wineries at around lunchtime, with the last one done by around 5:00 - 6:00 pm.
Day 3: If you’re up for a bit of activity in the morning, to burn off last night’s food and copious amounts of wine consumed the previous day, then we can drive up to Skaha Bluffs. This place is a famous rock-climbing area, just down the road. There are some really nice hiking or walking trails in the area, and if you have the skills, desire and equipment, you can attempt the many rock climbing routes that run up the vertical cliffs. There are local guiding companies, if you need a guide and equipment.
We would then head back into town for some well earned breakfast or lunch, and we could visit a few more wineries in the afternoon.
Day 4: Leave town in the morning for Edmonton. Depending on time, we can break up the trip home with lots of stops at interesting attractions, which are waiting to be found, just off the main road.
Tours start from $250 per person. They include return transport to Penticton, transport to as many wineries as you can visit in two days, plus any transport required while in town.
Price doesn't include accommodation or food.
