Come to Jasper, Alberta for a broad spectrum of river rafting trips to choose from. We offer trips for those who want a fun family activity, to trips for those who want a more thrill-seeking outdoor adventure.
Thousands of visitors to the Jasper area have safely experienced the thrills and magnificent scenery of the Canadian Rockies, our adventure rafting trips have to offer. While no previous rafting experience is necessary, some trips do have minimal weight and/or age requirements.
Rocky Mountain River Guides have been providing quality, high grade rafting adventures in Jasper National Park since 1990.

What To Bring:
For all river rafting trips you need to bring the following (expect these items to get wet):
- Shorts or a bathing suit
- T-shirt
- Socks.
You will want to leave the following behind (for afterwards) in our heated indoor change facilities:
- Towel
- Dry set of clothes.
We suggest you do not bring valuables!
We will provide you with:
- Wetsuit
- Neoprene boots
- Paddle jacket
- Life jacket
- Helmet.

Athabasca River
Beginner
Mid-May - September
The Athabasca River originates 100 kms south of Jasper, in the glaciers of the Columbia Icefields. The river was used extensively by fur traders between 1810 and 1860, and has been designated a Canadian Heritage River. We raft two different sections of this river, with both of them providing exceptional views of the Rocky Mountains, and sporting some lively rapids.
Canyon Run - A three hour round trip through a spectacular canyon, suitable for everyone over the age of six. Includes all equipment, transportation from Edmonton return, national park entry fees, drinks and snacks.
$198 per person (includes GST and transport from Edmonton)

Sunwapta River

June to September
By far our most popular trip, and definitely the best whitewater in Jasper, the Sunwapta lives up to it's Stoney Indian name of 'turbulent water'. The Sunwapta river emerges from the Columbia Icefields, and we raft very close to the headwaters of this silt-laden river.
Sunwapta River Run - This 3 to 3.5 hour round trip offers an exciting combination of fast rapids, incredible scenery and abundant wildlife. There are no age restrictions, however, minors must weigh a minimum of 40 kilos (90lbs).
Includes all equipment, transportation from Edmonton return, national park entry fees, drinks and snacks.
$209 per person (includes GST and transport from Edmonton)
Departs Edmonton at 4:00 am (for the 8:30 am trip)
Departs Edmonton at 7:00 am (for the 12:30 pm trip)
Great for active first timers and minors over 40 kgs (90 lbs).
